The cloud was low over the mountains and a rain was threatening when I spotted this lone nanny goat by the garden wall.  I hope she made it back to the rest of the herd before the storm hit.

DONKEY SANCTUARY Daily Painting

DONKEY SANCTUARY

Original acrylic
on 270gr acid free paper

Size 4.5 x 6in (11.5cm x 15cm) approx. with narrow white border

Recently some friends and I called in at the Donkey Sanctuary at Vouni on the island of Cyprus where I live. They do marvellous work, looking after over 100 donkeys, many of whom have been abandoned or mistreated by their owners. This little Sweetheart still has his thick winter coat and was especially cute!
