Using colour spontaneously for the sheer joy of it, is sometimes what a painting is all about. This is certainly the case here. Added to which, it's about the power and wonder of life, at those moments when in dark circumstances its positive forces are not always obvious, but always there if you look carefully.

This many layered piece draws together painted collaged motifs, glimpses of hand-drawn text and encrusted textures all richly glowing with multi-coloured iridescences.
